Intro to Sound

Project one:-

Visual Communications Promo will bring public awareness to VC department. It should be short, concise promo that makes a point quickly and clearly.
In this project, you should plan, record, edit, and produce a promo. Analyze how a particular sound will impact the mood and intention in a mix.

Project two

In this project, you will mix sound for video. You project should incorporate an original soundtrack to enhance the video. The topic and length is up to you but should be supported in your pre-production materials. You can choose to go toward the experimental route like the artists we looked at in class or toward the commercial route.






Project three

Student will research and do a presentation on a Sound Artist.

Final project:

In this project, you will incorporate what you have learned throughout the semester into a final sound project. You your project should incorporate sound and video using the Pro Audio software and hardware that we have covered in class. The topic and length is up to you but should be supported in your pre-production materials. You can choose to go toward the experimental route like the artist we looked at in class (John Cage) or toward the commercial route .
